We host a special program of exclusive events in the United States with authors, historians and well-known Library members, including dinners, talks and visits to theater performances. You can find out about some of our past events here.

    Wednesday 11 November, timings and venue to be confirmed, New York

    Join award-winning author and biographer Sonia Purnell in New York as she discusses her literary career to date, exploring her research into the Anglo-American women who were at the forefront of some of the most significant events in twentieth-century British and American history.

    The subjects of Sonia's biographies range from Clementine Churchill, the wife of Winston Churchill who was party to some of the most crucial decisions of the Second World War, to American socialite and WWII allied spy Virginia Hall, to Pamela Churchill Harriman's extraordinary life shaping 20th century politics on both sides of the Atlantic.

The London Library Public Events Programme
